SEM WORKS Conferences

They're everything traditional conferences are not.

SEM WORKS has revolutionized professional development. Take what you know about typical conferences and drop it from the curriculum. Our enrollment management training opportunities are widely recognized as the best in the industry. They're engaging, interactive, high energy. They're thought-provoking...yet grounded in research and practical application.

We'll help you solve challenges that commonly threaten an institution's success and ability to recruit and retain students...effectively engaging the campus community, overcoming resistance to change, developing a brand identity that resonates, creating a student-centered culture, and leveraging today's high-tech resources. You and your staff will gain invaluable information and resources that will directly and positively affect your institution. We guarantee it or your money back.

On-site training: SEM WORKS trainers will come to your campus so that you can benefit from our expertise and practical solutions conveniently and cost effectively. Combinations of half- and full-day seminars for one or more institutions are tailored to meet your learning needs. To ensure relevance, each seminar is customized using data specific to your institution's circumstances and goals. At your discretion, attendees may receive notebooks or CDs with presentation slides and complementary materials such as self-assessment instruments, resources guides, and planning templates. For workshop descriptions, please visit full-day or half-day workshops to learn more.

Strategic Scheduling Workshops: Together with Ad Astra, SEM WORKS hosts regional workshops focusing on strategic scheduling and planning. Topics include ways to leverage technology, data, and academic planning to meet student demand and improve time to degree completion; strategies and techniques for effective planning and scheduling; and best practice ideas on effective student communication and loyalty building tactics. Workshops in Southern California; Albany, New York; Chicago, Illinois; and Dallas, Texas are planned for 2008.

Community College Enrollment Management and Student Marketing Symposium: Avoid training that can offer you only a one-size-fits-all formula. This symposium was developed specifically with community colleges in mind. As past participants will attest, it will equip you and your staff with relevant, change-effecting content. You'll leave well informed and highly motivated, with a confident vision for success...but it is held once a year and spots fill up fast.
