At the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) we take our mission of serving, engaging, and inspiring teachers, reachers, and leaders in education seriously. Indeed, since 1978, NISOD has been making a difference nationally and internationally with our excellence awards, membership programs, partnership projects, and more. We are well known as the primary outreach arm of the Community College Leadership Program, which is based in the The University of Texas at Austin College of Education. Celebrating more than 60 years of excellence in preparing leaders, CCLP faculty and staff are engaged in a host of projects and activities. Through NISOD, you’ll learn more about and be invited to participate in projects and programs like the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE), Achieving the Dream, the MetLife Initiative on Student Success, and the Community Colleges Bridges to Opportunity project. Our Annual Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence in Austin is truly a celebration of these projects and the innovations of our members and partners. It is one of the best ways to engage this vibrant community and become involved in the larger NISOD activities. You’ll want to mark late May on your calendar as the time to make your way to Austin, TX, to meet, greet, connect with, and learn from colleagues from the U.S. and around the world. Regardless of whether through onsite programs or online services, however, you'll surely find NISOD a dynamic community committed to learning together.
