How to Leverage Strategic Scheduling and Planning to Improve Student Success and Enrollment Results

Workshop Description

An increasingly competitive higher education marketplace compels colleges and universities to explore every opportunity to ensure enrollment success. However, the tendency of many institutions is to focus primarily, if not exclusively, on marketing and recruitment solutions. While it is often prudent to increase investments in attracting new students or expanding to new markets, such investments should never occur without first addressing internal enrollment issues—current student success and the "bleeding away" of credit hours to other educational providers. Our experience with more than 300 institutions suggests that twenty-five to thirty percent of your students are "swirling"—taking courses from multiple educational providers concurrently, principally due the lack of class availability or convenience.

This one-day enrollment management workshop is designed to present best practice strategies that ensure optimal enrollments outcomes from your current students. Speakers will share student success strategies; precision scheduling techniques and tools; proven advising models; ways to leverage technology, data, and academic planning to meet student demand and improve time to degree completion; as well as student communication and loyalty building tactics.
